Job Summary
Basic Function:
The Common European Agricultural Data Space (CEADS) is a major European initiative funded through the Digital Europe Programme to deploy and operationalise a secure, trusted and interoperable agricultural data space across Europe. CEADS brings together a broad range of stakeholders to enable responsible agricultural data sharing, support innovation, and accelerate the digital and sustainability transition of the agricultural sector.
Teagasc plays a central role within CEADS, including co-leading activities related to use case deployment, stakeholder engagement, integration of new participants, as well as contributing to data sharing initiatives. CEADS encompasses a diverse range of agricultural use cases focused on improving sustainability, productivity, innovation, and data-driven decision-making across the agricultural sector.
Teagasc is seeking to recruit a highly qualified, motivated and skilled Research Officer to support the implementation, coordination and monitoring of CEADS activities. The successful candidate will contribute to project coordination, stakeholder engagement, reporting, dissemination, and the integration of agricultural data sources and digital tools within the CEADS framework. Depending on project needs, the successful candidate may also support activities relating to Teagasc sustainability-focused datasets and platforms (e.g., AgNav) contributing to CEADS objectives.
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team across the Teagasc Research Directorate and engage closely with external partners including the European CEADS consortium and industry stakeholders.
The position will be based at Teagasc, Animal & Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork. Other Teagasc locations may be considered solely at the discretion of Teagasc management.
